The concept behind Security Policy Tool was first developed through National Institute of Technology’s (NIST) ACPT project which created the foundation for promoting Access Control (AC) Policy Verification and Testing. After completion of their project, NIST authored several publications (SP 800-162, NIST IR 800-7874, & SP 800-192) to advocate the importance of implementing this new technology. When it was decided that an AC Policy Verification tool should be brought to market; InfoBeyond was awarded the task to commercialize this project into Security Policy Tool based on their proven track record.

Before working with NIST to commercialize Security Policy Tool; InfoBeyond had already worked with several notable U.S. Government Agencies in developing advanced IT solutions. InfoBeyond has worked with the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, Department of Navy, Department of Air Force, Department of Energy, and many more. Most recently, InfoBeyond has begun working with the Department of Transportation to start developing a solution that will improve security and entertainment on trains to promote train travel.
